Unlike horizontal grain, vertical grain doesn’t show the wide knots of bamboo, but looks like narrow bamboo strips laminated together to form a big panel. Each strip roughly 5mm to 6.5mm wide, whereas horizontal grain is made by using 21mm to 21.6mm wide bamboo strips edge glued to form a big panel.
one side lengthwise with R=3mm radius, both sides with smooth sanding, our bamboo shelves come in planks, ready to use, can be wall mounted or assembled into book shelves, cabinets etc.
All our bamboo panels come in unfinished, with 180 grit sanding, perfectly smooth on both sides, it is a ready to use material. You as the artist, can lacquer, oil or stain the bamboo in any colors as you wish. Bamboo is easy to cut and mill, works well with most carpenter tools.
