please note that our bamboo food serving plate comes oiled, but bamboo is actually a woody grass. it is not 100% waterproof as other woods. it should not be submerged in water, and should get dry immediately after cleaning.To extend the life of the bamboo board, re-oiling is advise. just rub food grade oil into the boards every few months. if you have problems with food grade oil, then just use cooking oil from your kitchen.
