Heat treated bamboo plywood is a super rich deep color, achieved by extra long time of kiln drying at high temperature, this color can be as dark as black, or as yellow as sand, depending on how you like the colors to be. this color is also called Espresso, Chocolate or Coco, which is super dark.
Natural color is achieved by boiling with H2O2 in hot water, a process to bleach and remove sugar, starch from the bamboo.
All our bamboo panels come in unfinished, with 180 grit sanding, perfectly smooth on both sides, it is a ready to use material. You as the artist, can lacquer, oil or stain the bamboo in any colors as you wish. Bamboo is easy to cut and mill, works well with most carpenter tools.
